Turquoise Harmonicas

Lately, I have found that discomfort has been a central theme in my journey in self-discovery… not as an absolute, but rather as a guiding force. To be fair, I must admit that I am still trying to find the right balance between respectful professionalism and a joking sense of humorless non-awareness. There is a reason that I find awkward comedies such as Arrested Development, 30 Rock, and The Office absolutely hysterical — because I know that I have not only been in, but also have the potential to create such awkward fits of self-illusion in my own little maladjusted excuses of a world.

All joking aside, I must admit that even in my most sincerely awkward of moments could I ever imagine creating a situation as beautiful as the following two videos. This one is both incredible, yet quickly and familiarly uncomfortable:

Huge thanks to Lee for taking a few moments to share videos with me. Much appreciated, sir.

On a random note, I have spent the last few nights reliving the last Brand New tour that I saw in Salt Lake City… Manchester Orchestra + Kevin Devine + Brand New. I mean, how can you not dwell on a tour of that magnitude? Absolutely fantastic.

Anyway, here is my parting gift:

DRIVIN’ WITH MY KNEES! I’M DRIVIN’ WITH MY KNEES! :)

I do love Brand New. and Manchester Orchestra’s new album. Go buy it now.

Hey, I’m a girl who thinks the world will never end! Wow!!

“a joking sense of humorless non-awareness” Wow, just wanted to say how huge my grin is right now, reading your post and watching these awesome vids! I think it’s exciting to be in a place where you are finding balance. It’s like you want the best of both worlds. Awkwardness is the fuel for the journey, in a way. And that’s kinda cool to make awkwardness a good thing in life. :P

Also, I ell-oh-vee-ee love your fave shows. My Dwight Schrute bobblehead can totally vouch for that!

    :)
